Draft Federal Arbitration Law Conference on May 24 to bring together arbitration specialists

Under the patronage of Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, the Draft Federal Arbitration Law Conference will be held on May 24, 2010, in Abu Dhabi.


The event is aimed at raising awareness on the updates in the UAE legislative system and will bring together legal professionals and commercial arbitration experts from across the region. A highlight of the conference is the discussion on the draft of the Federal Arbitration Act and its effectiveness in settling disputes.

 

The conference is organized by the International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation and Arbitration and the Institute of Training & Judicial Studies in cooperation with Dubai International Arbitration Centre and Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation & Arbitration Centre.

 

Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri said: "The Draft Federal Arbitration Law Conference highlights the focus of the UAE in promoting arbitration measures to further enhance business efficiency by setting clear guidelines to address any commercial disputes. This is important to enhance investor trust and confidence in the economy.”

 

At the conference, the participants will discuss various legal and technical aspects of the draft of the Federal Arbitration Act, which was prepared by experts to underline to importance of arbitration in resolving business disputes.
