DP World UAE introduces TAQDEER Performance Recognition Programme
Programme aims at enhancing creativity and motivation of employees
DP World – UAE Region, the local arm of DP World, Dubai World’s marine terminal operator, announced the launch of its new Performance Recognition Programme “Taqdeer,” which aims at rewarding the efforts and distinguished accomplishments of its employees. The Award scheme covers all terminals and departments of DP World UAE.
Taqdeer includes three Award categories:
1- The Outstanding Performance Award: It is set to recognise outstanding performance and achievements of supervisory and non-supervisory staff, including workers. Their contribution towards departmental improvements in areas such as cost saving, processes, customer service, work environment and productivity will be also considered.
2- The People Development Award: Set to recognise the dedication of senior staff in developing their teams through planned and continuous effort; enhancing their competency levels to gain new skills and growth opportunities.
3- The Excellence in Service Award: Is set to recognise exceptional accomplishments and contributions of senior staff towards the achievement of DP World UAE objectives and significant improvements.
Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director – UAE Region, said: “The commitment of our employees and their hard work plays a major role in DP World’s success in delivering quality services to customers. DP World UAE took the initiative to introduce Taqdeer in order to acknowledge the achievements of our employees and to enhance their creativity, motivation and outstanding performance.”
“Taqdeer is unique in that it is the only one of its kind that enables employees to nominate themselves for the Awards within the specific criteria for each category. Taqdeer is very comprehensive because employees at all levels are eligible for participation,” he added.
The nomination process for the three Awards will be co-ordinated through representatives of various departments of DP World UAE. The qualified nomination forms will be put up to different committees to select the winners.
The Awards presentation ceremony will be held in January of each year. The winners will be awarded one month’s salary in addition to certificates of appreciation.
