After the overwhelming success of Disney High School Musical during the 2008 edition of Dubai Summer Surprises, comes the eagerly awaited sequel Disney High School Musical 2 that will make its Middle East premiere this summer during DSS. The exciting musical will be held from July 8th to July 18th at the Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre in Mall of the Emirates.
Shows will be held from Wednesday, July 8th to Saturday, July 18th at 7:30pm. Additionally, matinee shows will be held on July 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th at 2.30pm. There will be no performance on July 12th.
Based on the record breaking Disney Channel Original Movie, HSM2 picks up where the original left off. School is out and Troy, Gabriella, and the rest of the Wildcats are spending the summer working at the Lava Springs Country Club, which was founded by Ryan and Sharpay’s family! With the club’s annual talent show right around the corner, things begin to heat up as Troy agrees to sing with Sharpay.
Including the hit songs 'Fabulous', 'You Are The Music In Me', 'What Time Is It?, 'All For One', 'Gotta Go My Own Way' and many more, it is a fantastic chance for audiences to experience the movie live on stage with added theatricality, twists and excellent live performances! All this combines to make High School Musical a must-see for every fan of the movie and theatre-goers alike. The musical is directed by John Payton and produced by Lucy Blakeman.
