Arab and foreign diplomats who met with Lebanese Prime Minister Salim Hoss on Monday gave their support to Lebanon’s decision to file a complaint against Israel because of 22 years of occupation, aggression and atrocities, reported the Daily Star on Tuesday.

“Lebanon had no choice but to file a complaint against Israel for compensation because “it was impossible to ignore the Israeli atrocities.” The Daily reported Hoss as saying

The diplomats who met with Hoss to discuss the legal asspects of the complaint believed that filing a complaint with the International Court of Justice at the Hague, was better than filing a complaint with the United Nations, because it would lead to a practical solution in a short period of time, reported the Lebanese Star.

The Daily also reported the diplomats as saying that the benefits are not only for financial reasons but to point out “Israel’s aggressiveness against Lebanon” and the fact that it has led the country to losses of up to $40 billion dollars because of its’ refusal to implement international resolutions –Albawaba.com
