Fusion Telecommunications International, Inc. confirmed today that leading Filipino actress and businesswoman Dina Bonnevie will join its campaign to spread greater awareness about its Efonica VoIP service, at the GULFCOMMS 2006 exhibition.
Dina Bonnevie, who joined Efonica as Director of Overseas Market Development this year, is one of the most popular personalities in the Philippines’ entertainment business. The primary focus of her role is to develop strategic VoIP business opportunities for Efonica within the global Filipino community.
The actress’ presence at the show will be a big boost to Fusion as it displays its revolutionary free and premium VoIP services, and further consolidate Efonica’s reach among the large number of expatriates living in the Middle East. Currently, Efonica’s worldwide membership stands at 750,000.
“Dina forms an integral part of our efforts to spread awareness about voice communications at the global level,” explained Roger Karam, President of Fusion’s VoIP division. “Efonica has a special focus on the global marketplace and we are confident that Dina’s presence at the exhibition will help us to reach the Filipino community in the region.”
During the five-day event, visitors to Efonica’s stand will be able to experience the full advantages of the company’s worldwide Internet Area Code™. This revolutionary service allows subscribers to dial the prefix “10” and then dial their contact as they normally would, rather than clicking on user names, as is common with other free VoIP services.
Hailed as one of the most talented and beautiful film luminaries to grace the Filipino silver screen, Bonnevie has had a successful track record. She has spent over 22 years in the entertainment industry, during which time she has appeared in almost 100 movies, TV programs and commercials, produced a gold record, and an award-winning talk show. Bonnevie has received over 10 Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress awards and an award for Best Celebrity Talk Show Host.
In addition, she is an accomplished businessperson. As President of White Wings, Inc., a production company, she developed programs to fund concerts and local special events.
During the show, Dina will interact with visitors to the Efonica stand Z-L20, located in the Zabeel Hall of the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. GULFCOMMS 2006, the Middle East’s largest telecom technology event taking place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from November 18_23, makes its debut this year and will feature a host of leading international and regional telecom players.
