Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum has said that no official or comercial activities in the emirate should be cancelled as a consequence of the international developments, because the country is “not in a state of war.”
The remarks came during a visit by Sheikh Mohammad to the Dubai police headquarters on Monday in which he passed his directives to senior Dubai police officials, according to press reports.
The minister explained the government's future policy in the light of recent developments, the Gulf News reported.
The paper quoted Dubai Police Chief Maj. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim as saying that “Sheikh Mohammad...directed senior officers to continue respecting and appreciating nationals and expatriates from all nationalities regardless of their religion.”
