All required measures have been taken to guarantee the Kingdom of Bahrain's security if the possible US-led war against Iraq breaks out, the Bahraini Defense Minister told parliament members.
Although predictions of war in the region are premature, Bahrain is safe, General Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa was quoted Sunday as saying during a meeting with the members of the House of Deputies' committee for foreign, defense and national security affairs, according to Gulf News.
"The minister has assured us the country's hospitals and medical teams are able to deal with any negative consequences of the war the US may launch against Iraq," said committee chairman, MP Ahmed Bahzad. (Albawaba.com)
