Death Toll Rises to Five in Confrontations with Israeli Troops in Palestinian Lands

A Palestinian youth, aged 17, was killed in confrontations with Israeli troops in Dair el-Balah in the Gaza Strip Sunday evening, reported Palestine TV. 

His death brings to five the number of Palestinians killed in Sunday during clashes with Israeli troops in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. 

Earlier, three Palestinians were killed by Israeli troops in the West Bank city of Hebron, reported the TV report. 

Emad Ismael Hawamdeh, 23, was killed in heavy clashes with Israeli troops in Samou’ area in the West Bank town of Hebron, said the report.  

The report added that two other Palestinians were killed in the same West Bank city. 

At least thirty Palestinians were also injured in the clashes, said Palestine TV. 

Sunday morning, a Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli soldiers during clashes early Sunday in the Gaza Strip, reported AFP. 

The teenager was shot in the head during a confrontation between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers at the Erez crossing, the main link between the Gaza Strip and Israel, witnesses said.  

He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival in Gaza's Al-Shifa hospital.  

Two other protesters were wounded in the clash, the hospital sources said.  

Three Palestinians were also wounded by rubber-coated bullets fired by Israeli soldiers in a similar clash at Khan Yunis, in the south of the Gaza Strip – (Several Sources)
