Deadly attack near mosque in Pakistan claims 52 lives

ALBAWABA — In a tragic incident, a devastating explosion rocked the Mastung region of Balochistan, Pakistan. The blast occurred in close proximity to a mosque where citizens had gathered to commemorate the Mevlit Kandil (Mawlid) celebration.

This sinister act of terrorism resulted in the loss of 52  lives, with one of the casualties being a police officer. Moreover, over 130 individuals suffered injuries in the attack.

Immediate response efforts were launched as a multitude of ambulances and search-and-rescue teams rushed to the scene of the explosion.

Authorities are currently investigating the possibility that the incident might have been a suicide attack. However, no group has stepped forward to claim responsibility for this heinous act at this point.

Expressing his condemnation of the attack, Interim Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar took to social media to denounce the violence.
