Deadly attack kills and injures 17 STC soldiers in Abyan, Yemen

According to local sources, an explosive device detonated on Monday evening at the Al-Qawz junction, targeting a military patrol belonging to the Saham Al-Sharq forces.
The explosion resulted in the death of six soldiers and the injury of eleven others. All the casualties were members of the Third Support and Support Brigade led by Transitional Council leader Nabil Al-Mashoshi.

ALBAWABA- Seventeen members of the Southern Transitional Council forces were killed or injured on Monday in an explosion targeting a military patrol at the Al-Qawz junction, east of the Mudiyah district in Abyan governorate, southern Yemen.

According to local sources, an explosive device detonated on Monday evening at the Al-Qawz junction, targeting a military patrol belonging to the Saham Al-Sharq forces.

The explosion resulted in the death of six soldiers and the injury of eleven others. All the casualties were members of the Third Support and Support Brigade led by Transitional Council leader Nabil Al-Mashoshi.

Areas in the Abyan governorate have witnessed similar incidents in the past, with dozens killed or injured. The joint forces attribute these attacks and operations to "Al-Qaeda".
