Lloyds TSB Dubai has announced that the deadline for applications to be submitted for the Lloyds TSB Small Business Awards 2007 has been extended. Due to considerable demand from a large number of applicants, the deadline for entry is now 6pm on 5th August 2007, giving applicants a further 14 days to apply.
These awards were instituted by Lloyds TSB Dubai in 2006 to recognize, support and reward brilliant entrepreneurs who have developed successful businesses and have become role models in their respective sectors. A further aim of the Lloyds TSB Small Business Awards is to raise awareness of the importance and significance of small businesses to the UAE economy.

The awards will comprise of the overall Lloyds TSB Small Business of the Year Award and the sponsored categories of DHL Customer Service Award, Royal & SunAlliance Innovation Award, 7 Days Creative Promotion Award, Hertz Inspirational Leadership Award, VISA Business Growth Award and Links Group Entrepreneurial Start-Up Award.
Online applications for the awards are accepted from any UAE based small businesses with a maximum of 50 employees and revenue of less than AED 25 million. Applicants are first short-listed and then invited to present to the independent panel of judges who will ultimately select the eventual winners. The awards ceremony will be held on 26th November 2007 in the Godolphin Ballroom at Emirates Towers Hotel.
