Damascus Radio on Tuesday stressed that the Syrian- Lebanese summit comes within the framework of the daily communications and consultations between the two brotherly countries.
The state-run radio added that this summit "confirms the deep Syrian-Lebanese relations which have become a unique example for intra-Arab relations".
In its daily commentary, the radio, cited by SANA emphasized that Syrian-Lebanese relations are strong despite "Israeli attempts to weaken the cohesion between the two countries", and stressed the "identical stances of the two countries towards all the Arab issues", especially the Arab-Israeli struggle.
The radio further said that the two countries "rejected terrorism and condemned the Israeli attempts to name resistance as terrorism".
"(The) Damascus meeting represents the two countries’ steadfastness against the current challenges and the Israeli schemes and it confirms the two countries’ desire for boosting the standing cooperation and achieving the economic integration" it added.
It concluded by saying that "no power in the world can dissolve" the unity that exists between Damascus and Beirut. (Albawaba.com)
