Damascus Radio stressed on Saturday that different threats targeting “our nation, cause and region require... awakeness, care and solidarity” on behalf of all Arabs.

In its daily political commentary, the state-run radio said that the danger does not threat anyone in particular but rather everyone is concerned and should be aware of the situation.

The radio further said that this is exactly what Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad has called for when he urged Arabs to unify stances and promote them to the level of the responsibility and the challenges which are threatening the Arab nation.

The Syrian radio, cited by SANA, further said that the “massacres perpetrated by the Israeli occupation authorities” against the Palestinians in the occupied territories “affirm a hidden intention to mix the papers in the region, eliminate any hope of finding out a just solution for the Arab-Israeli conflict”.

According to the radio, the escalation, building up of forces and threats against the Iraqi people, also underline hidden intentions to drive the region into the unknown, where no one can define its shape and meaning.

The radio concluded that in reference to the aforesaid situation, the Arab nation and people, as President Assad has said, are required to intensify efforts, overcome differences and exert utmost efforts to achieve Arab solidarity. (Albawaba.com)
