More than a dozen Daesh militants have been killed in airstrikes in the Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Monday.
The raids were conducted in Mamand Dara, Bandar and Janjal Shaga areas of the district on Sunday night, the governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said 13 insurgents were killed and three others wounded in the strikes near the Pakistan border, which did not harm civilians.
Meanwhile, the 201st Selab Military Corps confirmed the raids. But there has been no comment yet from the militant group.
