Turkey, “sooner of later”, will have to comply with a European Court of Human Rights decision concerning human rights violations in Cyprus, Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou said in Nicosia on Thursday.
He conveyed Ankara ought to realize that it cannot get away with “non-compliance, without paying a political cost”, the Cyprus News Agency reported.
The spokesman was commenting on statements issued by Turkish diplomats that their government does not wish to execute the judgment in the case of Titina Loizidou for fear of more applications against it by Greek Cypriots. (albawaba.com)
