Cyprus and France are to sign a cooperation agreement on security matters, after the Council of Ministers has given the "green light", CNA reported Saturday.

The agreement concerns the exchange of information to combat organized crime, money laundering, terrorism and illegal trafficking of drugs.

It also provides for the protection of personal data in national law and international treaties according to the acquis communitaire, the agency concluded.
