Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Qatar’s largest healthcare provider, hosted a medical delegation from Cyprus on the 18th and 19th of May. The delegation comprised physicians and specialists from the Cyprus Institute of Neurology (CING) who met with HMC leaders to discuss aspects of mutual cooperation between HMC and Cypriot hospitals in particular with the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING).
The meeting focused on boosting the knowledge exchange and sharing of expertise in the field of medical training between the two sides. On 18th May, the delegation met with Dr. Peter Hill and several other HMC consultants and specialists. On 19th May, a prolonged meeting was held with Dr. Ajayeb Al Nabit, Acting Director of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Department; Dr. Mohd Al Khalifa, Assistant Director of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Department, Mr. Philip, Administrative Supervisor of the Laboratory whereas heads of Sections.
The delegation were escorted on an orientation tour around various sections including the Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Department, Molecular Genetics Lab, virology and cytogenetic Section, Genetics Section – the tour highlighted the significant developments implemented by HMC in recent years.
