A wide-range of dances featuring the cultural diversity of the Philippines is due to be staged at the Philippine Night on Thursday from 5 to 7 in the evening at the Global Village.
Ambassador Amable Aguiluz III stated that the Filipino organizations are staging the cultural shows at the Philippine pavilion to mark the Philippines' debut participation in the Global Village.
Khaleej Times reported that the shows are being held three times a week; every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the pavilion during the month-long festival.
Irene Serrano, production director of the Philippine cultural program stated that, "We will be showcasing a number of traditional folk dances and songs during the Philippine Night by talented students."
The groups are due to present folk and regional dances from various Philippine regions and provinces.
Santa Cruzan, the most joyous celebration during May in the Philippines, will also be re-enacted and will be the finale of the show. (Albawaba.com)
