Corvette UAE Club ventures into Dubai Autodrome with DJ Bliss
Road safety to be addressed by City 7TV’s Adam Kechil at the fun-filled event

Corvette UAE Club (CUC), an exclusive club dedicated to road safety is hosting the organisation’s 5th gathering at the Dubai Autodrome on the 20th June with the aim to showcase exclusive Corvette cars and highlight to the public that speeding and racing can kill unless it is done in safe and protected venues like the Dubai Autodrome.

The club, which started in the mid of 2007 has already had four successful gatherings which took place in different Emirates.  The next event will be about safety but instead of using the highway and normal streets, members will be on the race track to learn about racing safety, speed methods, car maintenance and have lectures on safety.

According to Abdulla Khalifa Lootah, Chairman of Corvette UAE Club and Osama Khalid, Vice Chairman, the event will also be used as a platform to showcase the civil defense corvettes, rare corvettes and educate the drivers and guests about road safety measures they can take in the UAE. The club hopes to clear the misconception that sports cars are only for speeding and educate the public that there are safer venues for motor sports.

Adam Kechil, road safety campaigner who is also a local TV celebrity on City 7 TV’s IN GEAR programme will be supporting the event. He adds, “It is refreshing to see the Corvette UAE Club spearheading the road safety initiative for luxury cars through their events. I spoke on the safety subject at their last event and was very impressed with the response from the drivers who took part in the Abu Dhabi gathering. The media and events such as the CUC gatherings are perfect mediums to address road safety issues.”

Present at the event will be the Dubai Police providing safety information as well as the Civil Defense Department. Guests will also enjoy an unforgettable night with UAE’s pioneer DJ, DJ Bliss, who is well known for his talent in compiling an exhilarating mix of R&B, Hip hop & Dance tracks that will have the crowds dancing all night.

The event, sponsored by Goodyear, starts at 5pm on the 20th of June, is open to public and will end with a party for all the guests and participants free of charge. Corporate sponsors coming on board along with the visitors will have the use of the VIP lounge at the Dubai Autodrome.
