Unlike standard non-stick pans, its innovative GreenPan™ range is coated with a new, ceramic-based, non-stick technology called Thermolon™, which is free of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) and contains no toxic PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic acid) chemicals. These ‘eco-blazers’ feature exceptional coating endurance and are temperature resistant up to 450°C, whereas normal PTFE coatings are only heat resistant up to 260°C and release toxic fumes when overheated. So, if your cookware can’t stand the heat, get it out of the kitchen!
With GreenPan™, you don’t just look after your family’s health, but you do your bit for the environment too. While GreenPan™ products are made from recycled stainless steel and aluminium, the packaging is made of post-consumer paper in a bleach free process. In addition, 60% less CO2 is emitted during the application process of Thermolon™ versus conventional non-stick coatings and because of its excellent thermal conductivity cooking is quicker and more energy efficient - saving you precious minutes in the kitchen and revolutionising the way you cook.
