Concerns over Cox-2 inhibitors drug

Doctors in the United Arab Emirates have made it clear that recent concerns, regarding a class of painkillers that have been linked with cardiovascular problems, should not prevent patients from seeing their physicians to discuss effective pain management.


This class of drugs – called Cox-2 inhibitors – has been under close scrutiny within the medical community, to the extent that the Ministry of Health has recently issued a caution pending further information about their side effects.
