Community Partnership for Family Health (CPFH) has recently launched a new initiative entitled “National Health Campaign” to promote the significance of early planning for the future among the country’s youth. This campaign aims at the well-being of the local community throughout securing the families’ lives and health.
The new campaign is in cooperation with the higher population council and the ministry of health was launched in February 1, 2007 and continues until July. This campaign comes as part of health awareness campaigns to encourage healthy lifestyles and planning.
“This campaign is for the Jordanian community. Family planning is good for the future of every member of the family. This initiative is highly tailored to suit our Jordanian culture.” Stated Minister of Health, Saad Kharabshe.
The national health campaign targets children, single young adults, engaged couples, newlyweds, younger married couples and old people, with different messages and advices to each group.
A special website has been allocated for this campaign to give information about a healthy living throughout posting daily tips, latest health news, polls and voting, and a directory of physicians and medical centers all over Jordan and many other health related websites.
Community Partnership for Family Health (CPFH) has been operating in Jordan since 1996 through assistance provided by the USAID and the John Hopkins University/ Bloomberg School of Public Health international health communication program.
