Collaboration, Management and Control Solutions (CMCS), a leading provider of Project, Portfolio and Risk Management Information System solutions and the exclusive authorized representative of Primavera Solution in the Middle East (excluding Saudi Arabia and Egypt), recently established its presence in Lebanon through the launch  of its sister company, PMAG.

PMAG will extend the regional reach of CMCS’ broad portfolio of services and will take advantage of accelerating project management activities in industries such as construction to offer industry-leading solutions. A recent report from the Order of Engineers of Beirut and Tripoli shows that construction permits alone totaled 6,074,843 square meters in the first seven months of 2008, up 26.5 percent from the same period in 2007.

Bassam Samman, CEO and Founder, CMCS, said: “Lebanon’s rapidly expanding project management market make it an important target service destination for CMCS. We are eager to provide Lebanese businesses with our complete portfolio of consultancy services that optimize decision making at the portfolio, project and resource levels. Through these services as provided by our sister company, PMAG, we aim to make Lebanon a center of project management excellence.”

CMCS recently conducted a seminar in Lebanon attended by more than 100 professionals from various industries to present the company’s range of project management services, including professional consultancy services, organization project management maturity assessment, project management office set up and roll up, and development of strategic improvement plans and methodologies, among others. CMCS has been conducting a series of road shows under the theme Empowering Project Driven Businesses, with presenters offering insights on information system solutions for engineering and construction, power, energy and process, IT and telecommunications and government sectors in the Middle East.

“These recent road shows have further enlightened businesses on CMCS’ broad, reliable and proven solutions. They have also effectively explained the superior capabilities of the Primavera suite of project and portfolio management software, which form the software backbone for our information systems services. The exposure will definitely help PMAG gain a competitive edge in Lebanon’s burgeoning projects sector,” added Saadi Adra, Deputy Manager / PMP and PMI Certified OPM3 Assessor and Consultant, PMAG.

In parallel with its strategy of regularly organising roadshows, the specialized company owns a professional training program that is registered with the Project Management Institute "PMI" to promote awareness on the culture of project management and its integrated solutions - which has become an integral element in the modern era - thus developing the competency and performance of companies and individuals in this field.

CMCS will conduct another roadshow at the Marriott Doha in Doha, Qatar on November 25, 2008. Taking centerstage once again is how Primavera Portfolio Management solutions provide upper management with visibility for their investments, while linking with operational units for managing projects and programs.
