“Honey, I’m pregnant”. Those words are usually the beginning of a 9-month journey that will impact not only a woman’s emotional and physical well-being, but also her professional life. It is on this topic that Sabah Al Arabiya will dedicate a segment that will take its viewers through the joys and trials of a pregnant women’s life by chronicling the daily life of one of its own presenters – Mayssoun Azzam.
Starting August 8, 2005, the show will follow Azzam four times a week from Saturday to Tuesday to give viewers an insider’s view on Azzam’s struggle of handling the final stages of a 9-month pregnancy with a typically hectic day at work. The show will be broadcast on Sabah Al Arabiya and 10:00 pm Dubai time.
The show is a dedication to all pregnant women and is promising to offer insight on related issues and matters. For example, what rights and/or responsibilities are guaranteed to pregnant women under national labour laws? What is the right diet for a pregnant woman to ensure a healthy and safe pregnancy? Sabah Al Arabiya will have regular guests to answer these and other specific questions throughout the series.
In a bonus feature, viewers will have the opportunity to submit suggestions of names for Azzam’s up and coming newborn baby. Viewers will be able to submit the names by email at [email protected]. Male and female names are welcome since the gender of the baby remains a secret.
