President Glafcos Clerides said he was "absolutely" satisfied with a 90-minute long meeting, which took place in Nicosia Wednesday with United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan.
In addition, the President said that he discussed means to accelerate the UN-led peace talks during Wednesday’s meeting, which he described as "very good."
Annan, who arrived in Nicosia Tuesday, is to meet with Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash Wednesday afternoon in the Turkish-occupied northern part of Nicosia, according to Cyprus News Agency.
Attending the meeting were Annan's special adviser on Cyprus Alvaro de Soto and Under-secretary to the President Pantelis Kouros. (Albawaba.com)
