Seven Houthi militants were killed on Sunday during clashes with armed tribesmen in the central province of Al-Bayda', a tribal source has said.
The source, who requested anonymity, told The Anadolu Agency that armed tribesmen clashed with the Houthi militants in several villages of the central province, killing seven of them.
He added that armed tribesmen also blew up a Houthi patrol car at the center of Al-Bayda'.
It was not immediately clear whether there have been any human casualties in this attack.
The Houthi group has not officially commented on these attacks yet.
The Houthi group, which controlled Yemeni capital Sanaa in September of 2014, have started to make their presence felt in Al-Bayda' city, the center of the province, in February.
When they controlled Sanaa and moved on to establish control in other provinces, the Houthis pitted themselves against Yemen's Sunni tribes and Al-Qaeda, which is said to be also powerful in Yemen.
Yemen has been in turmoil since a popular uprising in 2011 ended the autocracy of longstanding President Ali Abdullah Saleh a year later.
