Ismail Obeid Youssef Al Ali, Director of Asian and African Affairs at the UAE Foreign Ministry, received in Abu Dhabi on Sunday the Chinese Ambassador Zhang Zhijun.
According to WAM, during the meeting, the Chinese envoy briefed the UAE official with regards to the results of the recent U.S. President George W. Bush’s visit to China, especially issues related to the Middle East Peace Process.
The Chinese Ambassador said that China had asked Washington to exert more efforts to solve the Palestinian issue and to strengthen peace throughout the Middle East region.
Meanwhile, Al Ali also received Arshak Poladian, Armenian Charge D'affaires. They discussed means of boosting bilateral co-operation in various fields. During the meeting, the UAE official also welcomed the upcoming visit of the Armenian President to the UAE scheduled for April 20-21. (Albawaba.com)
