Cheney invites new Saudi king for talks in USA

Vice President Dick Cheney and former US President Bush arrived in Saudi Arabia on Friday to offer condolences to King Abdullah over the death of King Fahd. The American mission, which also included former Secretary of State Colin Powell and vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Peter Pace, arrived two days after King Fhad's funeral.

 

During the visit, Cheney presented in the name of the American president, an invitation to the king to visit the US. In turn, the king sent his greetings to the president, SPA conveyed.
