Chefmate, one of the newest brands launched by Horeca Trade, received the Arab Achievement Awards 2010 for its contribution in the hospitality segment during the recent Arab Investment Summit held in Abu Dhabi earlier this month.

The awards are given to companies with projects and products that have shown outstanding performance and have made exemplary contributions to the region's development.

Chefmate is Horeca’s private brand which will be further developed this year to introduce new products such as mushrooms, tuna, and tomato paste, in addition to the existing range of olives, olive oil, butter, whole peeled tomato, chopped tomato and a range of cheese.

According to Soula Baroudi, Horeca Trade’s marketing manager: “It’s a whole new line extension for Chefmate that will target a certain segment of restaurants, hotels and catering for back of house products with good quality and a convenient price. We are so proud to receive an award for Chefmate as it shows that Horeca Trade is on the right track to fulfilling customers’ needs and is in line with market trends.”

The products are sourced from different suppliers all over the world that are in compliance with the UAE’s food standards and regulations. “Consumers, therefore, are guaranteed that they are buying clean and safe food products,” Ms. Baroudi added.

Chefmate is fast becoming a regional brand that was launched in January 2009 in the UAE.
