The 7th annual Careers UAE, organised by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) officially opens its doors tomorrow. Over the next three days from 13 - 15 March, UAE Nationals looking to expand their career opportunities will network with representatives from leading companies ranging from Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Hospitality & Tourism to Publishing, Design and other leading sectors.

In addition, UAE Nationals are encouraged to attend the numerous free workshops, training courses and seminars. One of the highlights at the Careers Conference is the Napo workshop session, which will cover the Napo Application Process, the Common Educational Proficiency Assessment (CEPA), Scholarships and details of Private Accredited Universities & Colleges in the UAE.

This year’s edition is the largest in the Careers UAE exhibition's history, featuring 179 exhibitors - many of whom are participating for the first time. One of the new participants is SAE Institute, who specialise in animation and graphic design training. This field is particularly pertinent to Dubai, a city where the reliance on creative and digital media continues to grow. There is an ever increasisng demand for talented Nationals in the animation, film, audio and advertising industries, one that SAE hopes to cater to.

According to Mr. Marco Bettelli, Managing Director of SAE Institute Asia Pacific and Middle East, “We share the DWTC's vision of inspiring and encouraging the youth of Dubai. Students of SAE Institute are familiarised with the latest in technology and state-of-the-art facilities, giving them the skills to embark on a career in Audio, Film, Animation, Graphic Design or Creative Media studies. Furthermore, SAE Institute is committed to the development of this region, encouraging and featuring emerging talents as well as innovative technologies. Locally trained students are now emerging as accomplished and talented professionals, increasing the reliance on trained personnel in the UAE.”

With the rapid development of Dubai and the changes taking place on a daily basis in the UAE, it is imperative for young UAE Nationals to be prepared for the dynamic job market they are entering. Careers UAE offers the ideal platform for ambitious and career oriented UAE Nationals to learn about this exciting job market and seize their opportunity.

Commenting on the ability of Careers UAE to prepare UAE Nationals for such a dynamic job market, Mr Helal Saeed Al Marri - Director General of DWTC - said, “One of the key reasons for the continued success of Careers UAE is its adherence to the belief that such an event must 'Empower Nationals'. Male and Female Nationals are encouraged to learn more about the career opportunities available to them and build career leads, learn about various companies, and apply for job positions and internships.”

With the need to prepare young Nationals for the cosmopolitan nature of business in the UAE, Careers UAE seeks to empower both male and female Emaratis, with the backing of the Ministry of Labour. The unique 'Ladies-only' sessions, will enable talented Emarati women to learn more about opportunities available to them in the UAE job market, and how they can contribute to the growth of the UAE.

Open exclusively to UAE Nationals, Careers UAE 2007 will be held in Halls 1 & 2 and Zabeel Hall at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC). The event will take place from 13 – 15 March 2007 and is open from 10 am to 8 pm daily.
