On Sunday morning, a car was in flames on the main highway to the Baghdad airport, a road where US troops regularly come under attacks, however this time an Iraqi was caught in the crossfire.

The vehicle was hit by "a small explosive device or a rocket-propelled grenade" at 8:30 am (local time), said Sergeant Brent William, a public affairs officer. The driver, who managed to flee from the car, was injured in the explosion.

Meanwhile, in what seemed to be an advertisement for the betrayal of ousted leader Saddam Hussein, Paul Bremer, Iraq's U.S. administrator boasted Saturday about the tip-off leading to the deaths of the toppled president's sons Uday and Qusay, who were recently killed in a firefight in Mosul.

Bremer said the occupation forces had paid the informant his $30-million reward and relocated him and his family.

"We are going to get Saddam too. The only question is who is going to get the 25 million dollars and move to another country," Bremer said, according to AFP

The man who blew the whistle on Uday and Qusay is widely believed to be Nawaf al-Zaidan, the tribal chief who owned the mansion where the brothers fought their last fight. (Albawaba.com)
