A bomb explosion has hit the central Iraqi city of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar Province.
On Thursday, a car bomb blast rocked the city, located west of the capital, Baghdad, killing a yet unknown number of people.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack. However, Iraqi officials have held ISIL militants accountable for similar terror acts.
Anbar Province, which borders war-ravaged Syria, has been a major stronghold of the ISIL militants and continues to be largely controlled by the terror group.
The ISIL militants control large areas across northern and western Iraq as well as eastern Syria.
ISIL has carried out horrific acts of violence, including public decapitations, against Iraqi communities such as Shias, Sunnis, Kurds and Christians.
New figures released by the United Nations show that violence in Iraq claimed more than 1,270 lives.
