The camel race concluding festival is due to begin on Wednesday in the Al Wathba racetrack and will continue until March 20th.
According to Emirates News Agency, the race is held according to the directions of UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and under close supervision of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, who also serves as Chairman of the UAE Camel Race Federation, to preserve sports associated with the country's heritage.
