The Syrian Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Otri, discussed on Wednesday several issues, including increasing the salaries, combating unemployment, improving the social services and expanding property scope.
The ministers also discussed a memorandum regarding the weekend, and decided a two-day weekend - Friday and Saturday, as of 1/2/2004, SANA reported.
