President George W. Bush defended the war on Iraq and his leadership in the war on terror on Thursday.
Inn accepting the Republican nomination for another term in the White House, Bush said that the situation in Afghanistan and Iraq could inspire Palestinians to believe that democracy is possible, and referred to Israel as "our good friend."
"As the citizens of Afghanistan, Iraq seize the moment, their example will set a message of hope throughout a vital region. Palestinians will hear the message that democracy and reform are within their reach," Bush said. (albawaba.com)
