BurJuman, a key sponsor of DSS 2009, saw a packed weekend as the last week of the summer extravaganza brought two exciting events to the mall. The Flower Rain and the Lindi Jane puppet show attracted families with only days left for the twelfth edition of DSS to conclude.
The show features the puppet characters Snap, Fluffi and Snipper who come together after meeting in Kakadu National Park (a famous park in Australia). Snap is a little cheeky crocodile from the London zoo and speaks with a Yorkshire accent while Fluffi is the French cat and Snipper is the Canadian Golden Retriever. Snaps Kakadu Club founder Lindi Jane created an amazing story line and infused her own song compositions to the show. This puppet show focuses on key messages that teach children on how to be kind, how to stay happy and to accept that every one is different. Snaps Kakadu Club also promotes environmental conservation by highlighting the need to protect trees. Over the past 15 years, the show has touched various places including the UK, Thailand, Singapore, and New Zealand, to name a few.
The Flower Rain will be held for one last time this DSS on August 13th and August 14th. Two hundred kilos of flower petals are used in the flower rain to create a refreshing experience. Flowers used include roses, tulips, marigold etc.
