In association with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) the first week of the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), ‘Ice Surprises Week’, unfolds an exciting line-up cool summer fun at BurJuman, the region’s premium fashion destination.
As part of the 8 day event – which runs between June 21st and June 28th - the mall will be playing host to the city’s largest variety of DSS entertainment, including variety shows, theatrical performances, art and craft workshops and a number of entertainers including the ‘Balloon Man’, face painters and magicians.
Visitors to BurJuman will have the opportunity to enjoy the biggest selection of show-stopping performances and events, including the marching carnival with the Ice Queen and her many companions - everyday from 5.00-10.00 pm - and the ‘Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs Ice Skating Show’ - daily from 5 pm – 5.30 pm and again every half hour thereafter.
On June 22, there will be a ‘Balloon Performance’ whereby a highly skilled acrobat will participate in advanced moves – inside of a giant balloon! Similarly magical, there will be an ‘Ice Magician’ wowing crowds on June 27th between 5 and 10 pm and a selection of ‘living’ statues moving around the mall on June 28th.
Throughout Ice Surprises, Baskin Robbins will host a number of competitions from 7.30-9.30 pm including daily ice-cream eating contests where participants can win gift hampers and vouchers courtesy the popular ice-cream vendor.
Finally, as part of its efforts to reach out to the less fortunate children in the UAE, BurJuman has also set up a special ‘Shatoor’ hospitality tent, where shoppers can get Arabic henna tattoos, get their faces painted and buy items for sale, with proceeds going to the Beit Al Khair orphanage.
