ALBAWABA - A fire erupted inside a building in Jakarta on Tuesday, killing at least 17 people, Indonesia's police revealed in a statement.
The fire was reported in a seven-story building in central of the capital, according to broadcaster Kompas TV. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon.
Indonesian media confirmed that the blaze was later brought under control.
A clip was shared on the X platform showing a huge blaze generating a thick black smoke while several firefighters were at the scene trying to put out the fire.
