British Airways - the UK’s flagship carrier which operates 7 weekly flights from Kuwait to London Heathrow - has announced it will offer some of its most competitive-ever regional Club World (business class) fares to London and North America as it looks to revitalise falling global demand for premium travel.

The new fares - available during a special four-day premium sale, taking place May 21-24th 2009 - will see price reductions of up to 50 percent.

With a return trip to New York - including all taxes, fees and surcharges - available for as little as KWD..... London for KWD.... and Los Angeles for KWD...., British Airways is confident the discount fares will provide an attractive incentive for Middle East customers looking to get away for a premium holiday..

Paolo De Renzis, British Airways’ area commercial manager, Middle East, said: “During these tough times, we are actively looking at ways to provide extra value for money for our customers,  remain competitive and weather the global economic turbulence.

“The ongoing global credit crunch continues to dent consumer confidence but these unbelievable fares are sure to attract Kuwait’s business and leisure travellers; they represent our cheapest ever trans-Atlantic fares from Kuwait.

“The Middle East as a whole is one of our key performing markets and we are expecting this limited promotional offer to further boost load factors during the two travel periods.”

The  96-hour Club World sale covers two travel periods; the first runs from May 21 – June 15, while the second, longer period, runs from August 1 – October 31.

Representing a £100million investment, British Airways’ new Club World evolves its revolutionary fully-flat business class bed which it first launched in 2000.  The new Club World seat is 25 per cent wider and offers more privacy, greater comfort, with more storage. The airline’s fleet-wide embodiment programme is almost complete, although all aircraft servicing Middle East routes carry the new cabin.
