At least 20 people were killed and 80 others wounded after a suicide attack during a festival in Syria on Friday, AFP and Reuters reported.
The car bomber detonated explosives at a Kurdish festival at Hasakeh, a city in northeastern Syria, while residents were celebrating Nowruz, the Persian New Year.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Daesh (ISIS) carried out the attack, and a spokesman for the YPG also told Reuters the militant group was responsible.
Nowruz is celebrated by the stateless Kurdish minority in Syria.
