At least 100 have been killed and 200 wounded from Houthi rebel shelling near Aden, the AP reported, increasing the death toll from its initial 45.

Hassan Boucenine, head of the Geneva-based Medicins Sans Frontieres, said the shelling happened in the town of Dar Saad near the southern port city.

Most of the deaths have been civilians, Boucenine told the AP, and feared "attacks on civilians will continue."

The Houthis began shelling the area after the rebels lost control of some of Aden's neighborhoods.
