BP, the oil & gas major, recently held a series of safety awareness training sessions in Dubai and Kuwait to educate signage supplier partners on BP’s global health and safety standards including BP’s Golden Rules of Safety and Driving Standards.
The training targetted managers from BP’s signage supplier partners in Iran, Jordan, Kuwait and the UAE, and covered various areas including the risks associated with installing BP signage at oil changing outlets and oil shops. A one day workshop initially took place in Dubai, followed by a further two sessions in Kuwait.
“The intensive training raised awareness of the importance of implementing and upgrading safe practices at work. All BP suppliers must adhere to the BP principles on safety and we are committed to investing in our distributors and ensuring that standards are understood, met and maintained,” said Reda Mohammad, BP HSSE Manager, Middle East & Iran.
BP will continue to roll out its supplier training programme across the region, which is mandatory for all signage partners who want to service the global oil giant, in order to achieve BP’s ultimate goal of zero accident, zero harm to people and zero damage to the environment.
