More car bomb explosions rock the predominantly Shi’ite neighborhoods of Bagdad. At least 42 people are reported to have been killed. A total of 75 have been wounded in the attacks as well.
Reported by Reuters as the deadliest of the five car bomb explosions, Sadr city was the location of seven of the deaths. Two of those killed were soldiers. Police have reported the car bombs targeted outdoor market areas were they expect there to have been the most casualties.
