A homemade bomb exploded near a power substation in the Fatih district of Istanbul on Sunday, reported Reuters.

No one was injured in the explosion.

Two other bombs were found and detonated in a controlled environment by bomb disposal specialists. The bombs were linked to Kurdish groups.

One was located beneath a statue of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the secular Turkish Republic, according to the Reuters report.

The second bomb was found at a bus stop in the neighborhood of Sultangazi.

Earlier this month a suicide bomber killed herself and a police officer and homemade explosive devices were found in two shopping malls.
