A bomb exploded in the heart of the Aïn Romana cemetery in the Mouzaia area according to Algeria press sources. The bomb was smuggled into the entrance of the Sidi M’hamed-Cherif mausoleum exploded at 13h15 last Friday, the second day of the Aïd El-Adha celebration.
The bomb caused the deaths of three women and wounded five others. Police believed that the aim was to inflict a much more serious number of casualties in this busy passageway in the festive season.
The attack has put the security services on high alert elsewhere in the country.
