One American soldier was killed and one was wounded in an improvised explosive device attack on their military vehicle along a major supply route northeast of Baghdad at approximately 5 p.m. on Sep. 9.
The wounded soldier was evacuated to the 28th Combat Support Hospital for treatment, the U.S. Central Command said Wednesday.
It was the first death of a U.S. soldier reported in several days. (Albawaba.com)
