Body of second pilot found after AeroGulf helicopter crash

ALBAWABA - The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said that search teams have found the body of the second pilot of the AeroGulf helicopter that crashed off the coast of Umm Al Qaiwain during a training flight that had taken off Thursday evening, WAM Agency reported.

The search operations resulted in the finding of the first pilot's body and the recovery of fragments of the remaining wreckage of the craft.

The Air Accident Investigation Sector at GCAA is still conducting investigations in collaboration with the designated authorities. Any new information on the accident's circumstances will be released as soon as it becomes available, WAM added.

"Specially trained personnel have been provided to offer support and assistance to the families and friends of crewmembers and we would request that members of the media respect their privacy during this difficult time," Khaleeji Times said.
