A bomb blast rocked Monday morning the building of the Syrian Broadcasting Authority in Damascus, causing casualties, said the official TV channel. "A bomb exploded on the third floor of the Syrian Broadcasting building causing casualties", said the state television said. Programs have not been interrupted.
Meanwhile, shelling and automatic weapons fire reported Monday in several districts of Aleppo, killing eight civilians and one rebel commander, said the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR).
The bombings targeted the courthouse in downtown and the neighborhoods of Shaar and Marje, in the eastern part of Syria's second largest city.
In addition, automatic weapons sounds were heard in Salaheddin (west), a rebel stronghold where a rebel was killed, and in the neighborhood of Bab al-Nairab (center) where a civilian was killed by a sniper.
Since the beginning of the day, 28 people have been killed across Syria, including 21 civilians and eight insurgents, according to the London-based organization that draws its information and assessments from a network of activists and witnesses in Syria.
On Sunday, 131 people died, including 79 civilians, 42 soldiers and 10 rebels, according to SOHR.
