The Middle East peace process will not get back on track before Israel's security is firmly guaranteed, British Prime Minister Tony Blair insisted on Thursday.

Speaking at his monthly press conference, Blair said suicide bombing attacks carried out by Palestinians are doing more harm than good for the Palestinian people. "As you know, I have been critical of certain aspects of Israeli policy," said the British leader.

"But I do honestly believe it is impossible to get this process restarted unless there is a credible security plan that allows people to believe genuinely that every attempt is being made to stop the support of terrorism, the flow of terrorists into either the Palestinian Authority (territory) or into Israel, and to give a clear message that terrorism is the enemy of progress for the Palestinian people," he said.

"It's so obvious," Blair conveyed. (Albawaba.com)
