ALBAWABA - President of the United States Joe Biden has warned Hamas leaders after the body of Israeli-American hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin was found in Rafah.
Biden said in a statement: "Let it be clear that Hamas leaders will pay the price for the crimes they committed."
On Sunday morning, the Israeli army confirmed retrieving the bodies of six hostages who were taken by Hamas members on October 7 during the operation of the Al-Aqsa Flood.
The family of hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin announced that he was among the bodies found in Rafah by the Israeli army. They wrote on Instagram: "With broken hearts, the Goldberg-Polin family is devastated to announce the death of their beloved son and brother, Hersh."
"The family thanks you all for your love and support and asks for privacy at this time." the family maintained.
The Israeli army announced on Sunday the retrieval of the bodies of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov, and Ori Danino.
The army accused Hamas fighters of executing the six hostages before the Israeli military reached them in Rafah.
It is worth noting that Goldberg-Polin, who was born in California, US, had been living in Israel since he was 7. The American-Israeli hostage was taken from the Nova music festival.
Hamas released a video of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23, in April.
